Materials

Finishing Touches jewellery is designed and handcrafted in our studio in Cornwall using gorgeous gemstones, fabulous freshwater pearls, glass, crystals and the highest-quality cast pewter which we combine with hundreds of tiny sterling silver beads.   We also use feature beads and pendants which we buy direct from the Karen Hill Tribes in Thailand.   These typically contain 97-98% pure silver and are individually handcrafted using traditional methods which means there will be some variations.   All the wirework, chains, clasps and earring findings are sterling silver.

Measurements

Our beaded necklaces are typically between 17" and 18" in length and come with a 2" sterling silver extension chain.   If you would like anything made to a different length please do let us know via email at:

Unless stated otherwise, bracelets are made to fit a standard 7" wrist.   Again we can make these smaller or larger if required.

Care of your Jewellery

We want you enjoy wearing your jewellery for many years suggest the following tips for keeping it in good condition:

• Your jewellery should always be the last thing you put on and the first thing you take off at night.   We recommend storing all items separately in their velvet pouches and to coil necklaces and bracelets to avoid kinking.
• To clean wipe gently with a soft cloth.   Harsh abrasives and chemical cleaners can easily damage delicate beads, particularly soft, porous stones such as turquoise, amber, mother of pearl and freshwater pearls.
• Avoid contact with cosmetics and chemicals such as hairspray and perfume.
• Do not wear your jewellery while swimming, bathing or in the shower.
