Materials

Finishing Touches jewellery is designed and handcrafted in our studio in Cornwall using gorgeous gemstones, fabulous freshwater pearls, glass, crystals and the highest quality cast pewter which we combine with hundreds of tiny sterling silver beads. We also use beautiful feature beads and pendants which we buy direct from the Karen Hill Tribes in Thailand. These typically contain 97-98% pure silver and are individually handcrafted using traditional methods which does mean that there will be some slight variations. All the wirework, chains, clasps and earring findings are sterling silver.

Measurements

Our beaded necklaces are typically between 43 and 45cm in length unless otherwise stated.   Our bracelets are made to fit a standard 18cm wrist.   As we make all the pieces ourselves we can easily tailor your jewellery to suit your requirements so please do contact us if you would like something made in another size.

Care of your Jewellery

We want you to enjoy wearing your jewellery for many years and suggest the following tips for keeping it in good condition

• Jewellery should always be the last thing you put on and the first thing you take off at night.   We recommend storing all items separately in their velvet pouches and to coil necklaces and bracelets to avoid kinking.
• To clean wipe gently with a soft cloth.   Harsh abrasives and chemical cleaners can easily damage delicate beads, particularly soft, porous stones such as turquoise, amber, mother of pearl and freshwater pearls.
• Avoid contact with cosmetics such as perfume and hairspray.
• Do not wear your jewellery whilst swimming, bathing or in the shower.
